St. Michael's the Archangel is honoured not only in Christian Tradition but also among the Jews and Muslims. The word Michael means "who is like God". On November 7th, St. Michael's celebrated the Feast of St. Michael's with a sacred song evening from St. Albert Alliance Church Outreach Group. On November 15th there was a celebration of Ukrainian Divine LIturgy lead by Bishop David Motiuk along with Edmonton Eparchy and Chaplain Rev. Mihajlo Planchak. Joining in celebration were singers (lead Melanie Turgeon), 4 Knights of Columbus and 2 UCY including President Namisha Hlus, who read the Epistle. Board Members, staff and some of St. Michael's residents and families members also participated in the celebration.

On November 21st St. Michael's celebrated an Orthodox Liturgy with the newly installed Ukrainian Orthodox Bishop Ilarion Rudyk, Bishop of Edmonton and Western Diocese.
